1 cup (250 grams) water chestnut flour (singhare ka atta)
2 tbsp (30 grams) ghee
1 cup (250 ml) skimmed milk
2 tsp stevia powder or sugar-free Natura
3 scoops (24 grams) Prohance D powder
¼ cup (60 grams) finely chopped almonds, walnuts
1 tsp cardamom powder (elaichi powder)
For Garnish:
Chopped almonds (optional)
A pinch of saffron
Instructions
Take a non-stick pan. Add ghee, and let it become warm.
Add chestnut flour and roast on slow flame till golden brown in colour and you smell a nutty aroma. Keep stirring to prevent it from sticking to the pan.
Add stevia or sugar-free powder, cardamom powder, nuts and mix well.
Switch off the flame.
In another vessel, mix Prohance D powder with milk.
Add the Prohance D powder to the sheera and mix well until the milk is completely absorbed by flour.
Serve hot garnished with saffron and chopped almonds.
Note: Singhara atta can be replaced with normal wheat flour too.
